Fitting your 4G Extender Antenna

Strong signal in the yard but nothing in the shed? Old stone walls and tin roofs are good at keeping 4G out. The extender antenna mounts outside and feeds that clean signal straight to your camera — a quick job with basic tools.

Works with: Farmstream 360 & Farmstream Static (4G models). Not compatible with the Solar 360 Mini.

Take off the camera’s two 4G aerials

Twist the two aerials off your camera by hand — no tools needed. The picture shows exactly which two. Your camera may drop offline for a few minutes; that’s normal until the new antenna is connected.

Mount the extender antenna outside

Fix the antenna to an outside wall of the building — ideally on the side with the best signal. Before you fix it in place, stand next to the spot with your phone and check it shows good 4G bars: that’s where the antenna will pull its signal from.

Screw the leads onto your camera

Run the antenna’s two leads in to the camera and screw them onto the two connectors where the original aerials were. Finger-tight is plenty — snug, not forced. Give the camera a minute, then check the live view in the app.
